The eagerly anticipated Call of Duty: WWII will get a second PC Beta in just two weeks. The big difference is that this one will be open access.
On September 29th, Steam will release the Beta for free. But act quickly because the Free Beta will only last the weekend. It’s all over on October 2nd.
According to a press release by Sledgehammer Games, the open Beta will be the stress test for the “core gameplay systems and online backend infrastructure at scale.”
This will also give PC users a first-hand look at the game, and hopefully draw in an avid crowd of players who will be champing at the bit for the final release.
The Beta will be available on Steam and the minimum required specs (at this point) are:
OS: Windows 7 64-Bit or later
CPU: Intel® Core™ i3 3225 or equivalent
RAM: 8 GB RAM
HDD: 25 GB HD space
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660 @ 2 GB / AMD Radeon™ HD 7850 @ 2GB or better
DirectX: Version 11.0 compatible video card or equivalent
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
