Black Eyed Kids #1 – All New Horror From AfterShock Comics is a Hit!

“They Are Coming….”

The ominous words from a young boy who sleep walks around his parents home while in the darkness of the night. Too bad no one listened.

Black Eyed Kids #1 is the very first horror series coming from AfterShock Comics and it absolutely hits the perfect notes right from the start. A fantastically told tale in the very first issue that does a masterful job of setting up an ambiance of a highly-suspenseful, thriller-horror. Taking a note from the school of Sir Alfred Hitchcock, where the most gruesome scenes are always best created in the minds of the reader.

Black Eyed Kids plays a wonderful balance of letting the story and characters immerse you into a world where a group of soulless, emotionless……..eye-less children, set on a course of committing acts of murders. Usually in a cold callus type of manner that will leave readers guessing at what dangers my come creeping around the corners next. Just like how those parents should have paid more attention to the warning their sleepwalking son had told them, now it’s only too late. They are here!

I love, love, LOVE!!! Everything about Black Eyed Kids! I’ve been reading a lot of horror comics lately and B.E.K. just went to the very top of my pull list and only $1.99 for the first issue! Great artwork, amazing story, fantastic covers, there is absolutely no reason to not give this book a read, you will be hooked!

Brought to you by Eisner Award Winning comic book editor, publisher and writer Joe Pruett. With popular fan fave artist Szymon Kudranski, who has  been all over the comic book industry. Amazing job of mood-setting colors by Guy Major and a special touch of great lettering from Marshall Dillion. Lettering gets so overlooked in comics today and is one of the things I like to rate as well. Outstanding job from the entire team.
