Awesome Con is a premier pop culture event that celebrates all things geeky and fantastic. Held annually in Washington, D.C., it brings together fans of comics, movies, TV shows, gaming, and more for a weekend of fun and excitement. This year the event ran March 8-10.
The convention featured a diverse array of activities and attractions. One of the highlights was the celebrity guest lineup, which included stars from popular franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, and DC. As well as popular voice actors. Guests this year included Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson and Tara Reid.
Awesome Con also had a wide range of panels, workshops, Table top and Video games. They also had a book fair and a science fair. If none of that interested you there was also the after parties, the cosplay, and the shopping at the numerous vendors.
Cosplay is another big draw at Awesome Con. Attendees showcase their creativity by dressing up as their favorite characters from comics, anime, video games, and movies. The cosplay contest, meetups, and photo shoots are highly anticipated events where participants can flaunt their costumes, talk shop with others and generally hangout with other like minded individuals.
