Attack on Titan has been receiving a lot of press lately.  With the release of two movies, one being live action, it’s not surprising that we are seeing a new game being released based on the popular manga and anime series.

The new games has been dubbed Attack on Titan: Humanity In Chains and will be released for Nintendo 3DS on May 12th for $39.99.

It has been reported that those who buy the game will also receive a free Attack on Titan 3DS theme which isn’t available for purchase separately.  I guess if you’re a hardcore AoT fan, then it would make sense for you to buy the game, wouldn’t it?

If you’re in Europe, however, you won’t be getting the game as soon as everyone else.  Due to a copyright issue, the game’s release has been delayed and it won’t be debuted with the same name either — Shingeki no Kyojin: Humanity in Chains.

The game has many features; one of which includes the story line.  Players are a member of the elite Scout Regiment who will defend their people from the Titans.  Players must be prepared to take on these large, scary monsters who will go to any lengths to appease their appetite for human flesh.

Players will also be able choose from their favorite characters, but will also have the option to customize their own with different costumes, weapons and even voices.

If you’re more into playing with your friends, have no fear because there is a co-op mode.  Seems appropriate seeing as the Scout Regiment works as a team to bring down the Titans.  With this co-op mode, players can see where they place on the leaderboards and rank up.

If you haven’t already, check out the trailer for the game below and let us know what you think in the comments.
