Anime Magic 2024, held from August 30th to September 1st at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, showcased a diverse lineup of special guests. Among the notable attendees were voice actors like Griffin Burns, Allegra Clark, Ben Diskin, and Michelle Ruff, all of whom are well-known for their contributions to anime dubs. Cosplayers such as Stella Chuu also added to the excitement, while musical performances were headlined by Blackros3 and Japanese singer Shihori Nakane. These guests helped create a vibrant, interactive atmosphere aimed at both anime newcomers and seasoned fans.
Anime Magic offered several fun events including tabletop and video gaming and an escape room. It seemed that every hallway at the Hyatt had something that you could participate in. Down the end of one hallway they had giant-sized chess and checkers boards, down another they had the token ball pit.
There was event boffer fighting offered by C.F.F. Convention Foam Fighting. This is a physical combat event where you defeat others with foam weapons.
