Anime Los Angeles (AKA Anime L.A. and ALA) is an annual four-day anime cosplay convention held during January. Animé L.A. started in 2005 with just over 600 people in attendance and has since grown to an attendance of over 10,000.
This is a great event to event to attend if you are a new to cosplay conventions. It’s not not so many people that you feel completely overwhelmed and crushed, and it’s not so small that you feel as if you are crashing a private party.
This year’s event was held January 4-7 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long beach, CA. Guests included Mark Allen, Jr., Edward Bosco, Cowbutt Crunchies, Zack Davisson, Lizzie Freeman, Victor Frost, Caitlin Glass, Amber May, Kayleigh McKee, Chris Niosi, Tara Sands, Kaho Shibuya, Evil Ted Smith, Hidetaka Tenjin, Chris Tergliafera, Kari Wahlgren, and Ezra Weisz.
