Anime Central (ACen), is an annual Anime convention held in Rosemont, IL. This is the premier anime, manga, and Japanese popular culture convention in the Midwest. This year’s event runs May 17th-19th.
ACen brings us prominent figures from across the globe in the anime, manga, gaming, cinema, and Asian culture realms. This convention runs a sprawling exhibit hall, an expansive video game room, concerts, dances, panels and workshops. You also get exclusive premiere screenings, autograph sessions, round-the-clock video rooms, and engaging tabletop gaming experiences. There always seems to be something going, all hours of the day and night. Attendees can revel in a dance floor, groove to the beats of DJs, see concerts, or explore artist alley..
As for guests, they have 13 well-known American voice actors, 19 International guests from across the industry, and 17 performers. That is a lot of entertainment names to fill your time with. You can sign up for photo ops, and autographs, or attend Q&A’s and meet and greets.
There are too many events to do and things to see, you can not take them all in. The schedule isn’t finalized, but it’s a advised that you plan out what you want to do. If you don’t start making plans now you might find that you’ve missed something great.
