AfterShock Comics at Alamo City Comic Con 2017: Appearances & Panel Info

AfterShock Comics has rounded up the creative talent
and is heading to San Antonio, Texas this weekend.

Alamo City Comic Con 2017 kicks off Friday, May 26th and is jam-packed with top names in the comic book industry. Some of today’s biggest names will be appearing with AfterShock Comics for meet-and-greets, signings, and a special panel Saturday afternoon. Here’s your look at who will be representing Team AfterShock this Memorial Day Weekend!

AfterShock Creators & Staff Appearing at ACCC 2017:

Joe Pruett (AfterShock Publisher/CCO & BLACK-EYED KIDS)

Writer of AfterShock Comics’ BLACK EYED KIDS Joe Pruett will be in San Antonio this Saturday only, so be sure to hear him speak at the panel as well as meet him in person. Terrific guy, amazing writer. Win-win.

Lisa Wu (AfterShock Retailer/Fan Relations Manager)

The social media face of AfterShock, Retailer/Fan Relations Manager Lisa Y. Wu is nearly omnipresent at conventions. Expect to see her all weekend in and around the AfterShock Comics booth, but see her “in action” as she moderates the Saturday creators’ panel!

Mike Zagari (AfterShock SVP Digital/Creative & Artist)

SVP of Digital/Creative at AfterShock, Mike Zagari can be seen at most conventions and Alamo City Comic Con is no different, as he’ll be at the event all three days. Most recently, his artistic stylings graced the covers of seven new releases on their digital copies on comiXology. The connecting variants reminiscent of The Last Supper can be seen below. (We got them all!)

Writer Brian Azzarello kicked off 2016 for AfterShock Comics with a brilliant concept in AMERICAN MONSTER. The series ran five issues last year, but just last week (5/17) the second volume of the acclaimed small town hero-turned, well, monster title returned so you’ll want to pick that up while you’re there meeting the man himself!

There is no one have a better 2017 than writer Donny Cates. Releasing hit after hit, he’s bringing a devilish story to AfterShock in BABYTEETH that you won’t want to miss! Hear from the red-hot writer at Saturday’s panel and bring your Cates books to be signed!

Cully Hamner is the co-creator of RED, as well as DC Comics’ third Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes. Recently attached to BLOOD BLISTER, the writer/artist brings a slew of talent to Team AfterShock and is a creator you cannot afford to miss!

Rev. Dave Johnson has teamed with writer Garth Ennis to be the featured cover artist for JIMMY’S BASTARDS. His worked has spanned across top publishers and he’s giving Ennis’ new title a sleek and sophisticated style. The Eisner-winning cover artist will be at ACCC to meet you all!

Though not appearing at Saturday’s panel, the multi-talented Sam Kieth will be located at Alamo City Comic Con right next to AfterShock’s booth! Mostly noted for his work on THE MAXX and ZERO GIRL, Kieth is currently working on ELEANOR AND THE EGRET with writer John Layman. The series only recently launched, so pick up issue one at AfterShock’s booth then walk next door for an autograph!
