ABC Announces ‘Inhumans’ Premiere Date

In 2014, Marvel announced that it would be adding an Inhumans movie to its lineup, but plans were changed and the studio will now be telling the story of the Inhuman Royal Family in the form of a six-episode series. The first two episodes will be shown in IMAX theaters for two weeks starting September 1, followed by airing the rest of the series on ABC.

The television premiere date was just announced today, and the first two episodes will be aired back-to-back September 29 starting at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central.

According to the official summary,  Marvel’s Inhumans explores the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans, with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.

The series start Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung as Karnak, Ellen Woglom as an undisclosed character, Sonya Balmores as Auran, and Mike Moh as Triton.

Two new posters were recently released, one showing the main characters, and the other showing the Inhumans city of Attilan.

There has been very little seen of the series yet, other than a first-look photo and leaked  that inspire little confidence in the series and a teaser trailer with only audio. However, since San Diego Comic Con is quickly approaching, we may luck out and get see more of what we should expect this fall.

In the meantime, here is the current teaser trailer for the series.
