Satta Flynn’s refusal to lay down and die drives the omnipotent systems that rule humanity to make a drastic decision. The nail that sticks out gets hammered down, but what if the hammer breaks the whole world at the same time?

PopCultHQ’s Comic Book Review:
VS #4

Writing:

Satta Flynn is back! Writer Ivan Brandon is taking Flynn back to the wargames, and he’s taking the story and giving it a twist. What sort of vicious surprises await Flynn and his troops out in the killing field? Where does the story go from here? Only through the mind of Ivan can readers get a taste of what corporate future combat is like. And now the combat is about to take on a whole new meaning.

Art:

Esad dishes out killer artwork. Literally, the artwork showcases some of the new downright deadly stuff that is happening to Flynn and the other ‘soldiers’ in the latest war. There are some insane new ‘toys’ that really take the art of war to a whole new level. And killer landscape layouts for Flynn to fight his way through. Let’s face it, Esad always delivers when it comes to art.

Nic’s colors go a new direction. Introducing new players into the wars means coming up with different color schemes for their respective everything. Skin hues, armor, weapons, all of it. It helps induce hype to see this and have readers wondering what will be dished out next.

Aditya got a bit “salty” with the lettering this time. There are some implied curses in issue #4, and for good reason too. The lettering for the new issue gives a lot of intense dialogue, peppered with those playfully censored curses. Gives a whole new meaning to the term ‘network censor’.

Tom has some slick new ads scattered in the book. Keep a careful eye out for products like Mirrorstreams, the return of Cherry Combat beverage, and three new items the person of the future shouldn’t be without: Yourspace, Bioshield and Music Milk. Welcome to the future of consumerism, brought to you by Tom Mueller.

PopCultHQ’s overall assessment:

What’s going to happen when Flynn comes back to the war, souped up for more? Only reading the latest story will tell it all. Get ready for some danger, some adventure and some unexpected surprises along the way.
