Today on The Talk, former Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg and writing partner Akiva Schaffer were promoting the new film “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping,” when the two recalled a hilarious tale involving a real-life action movie superhero!
Long before his days in the limelight at SNL, Andy was just like any struggling filmmaker, creating movies on low budgets. But for one of those low-budget shooting days, Andy and his filming partners had a very unexpected run-in with another celebrity.
Andy tells The Talk the funny tale of a fake mugging being staged with one of Samberg’s young friends dressed up as an old lady in a grey wig. All of a sudden a Porsche comes screeching up and out jumps Kiefer Sutherland himself, all ready to bust out Jack Bauer moves from his famed character on the TV show “24.”
Check out the video below as Andy tells the story much better and hear how Kiefer Sutherland reacted to finding out he had just ruined a shoot.
