Video Interview: “Whatcha Doin’ in Comics?” Ep. 3: Blue Delliquanti

Welcome to PopCultHQ & PodCultHQ‘s exclusive spotlight featuring people in the comic book industry who are making an impact with what they created… It’s time for… “Whatcha Doin’ in Comics?

For episode three, I spoke with Blue Delliquanti (O Human Star, Meal, Across a Field of Starlight, Adversary) about their involvement in the Children Theatre Company‘s production of Drawing Lessons.

The illustrator on the recent GHOSTBUSTERS: Back in Town miniseries at Dark Horse Comics, they also teach at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). Blue has joined The Children’s Theatre Company in their upcoming play ‘Drawing Lessons‘ to add their comic book illustrating skills for this fun and interactive show.

Dynamic, jump-off-the-page drawings show Kate’s manhwa graphic novel coming together, even as she deals with school, friends, and how her Korean heritage fits into her American lifestyle. Will her contentious friendship with Paul help or hinder her progress? Will either of them ever find their true artistic voice? Get drawn into this innovative story that magically takes place both on stage and on screen!

Before all Thursday 7pm and Sunday 5pm performances (excluding previews)

Arrive early to join in on exciting pre-show activities led by CTC Teaching Artists! These activities, inspired by the themes of the upcoming performance, will begin one hour before showtime and are a great way to enhance your experience.

Following all Friday 7pm performances (excluding previews)
