The epic saga of MONSTER MATADOR: Once Upon Some Monsters in Mexico, written by Steven Prince, with art by Fábio Alves, colors by Alex Zief, and letters by Albini, reaches an intense conclusion!
In this final issue, the Matador, his daughter, and their allies embark on a perilous journey. Having defeated the monstrous Megaracha and saved Mexico City, they now face the sinister Nacho Lobo, his cartel, and the legendary Chupacabras.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, creator & writer Steven Prince has enlisted the talents of a comic book legend for what will likely garner another Project We Love from Kickstarter! Over the years, a number of artists have contributed variant covers for the World of Monster Matador, including Fábio Alves, Kyle Roberts, Sam Vargas, Carlos Dearmas, Tony Donley, El Ramón, Debora Lancianese, and Puis Calzada.

And now, for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for the final issue of MONSTER MATADOR: Once Upon Some Monsters in Mexico, we’re excited to share with you the latest artist to add their flair to the Matador’s world…
That’s right! Ladrönn (Cable, Final Incal, Sons of El Topo, and Planet Hulk) will be creating an exclusive variant only available through the Kickstarter campaign!
“It’s truly an honor to have had Ladrönn create this spectacular cover for us,” said Prince. “Who better than one of Mexico’s legendary comic artists to draw Mexico’s own Monster Matador!”
Ladrönn’s cover will be available in multiple formats: a traditional, trade-dressed variant, a virgin variant, and a limited edition metal variant. Additionally, backers who choose a physical option within the first 48 hours of the campaign will receive an exclusive print featuring Ladrönn’s stunning cover art.
Monster Matador fans needing to catch up can add on back issues of Once Upon Some Monsters in Mexico as well as MONSTER MATADOR Volume 1 (left). These will be available in both digital and physical copies. The campaign also offers a variety of exciting rewards, including shot glasses, t-shirts, and more.
