My-Con, short for Mystic Con, started in 2019 as a low-budget convention for convention goers in the Orlando area. This years event was held March 30 at the Wyndham Orlando International Resort.

This is a fun inexpensive fandom convention that accepts everyone as they are and as they want to be seen as and encourages individuality. This is a smaller event, but its run by fans for fans and has what many convention goers want. There isn’t a lot to do because the focus is on the attendees.

Rate the Con

Our new thing for 2024 is to ask our readers to take a poll on some basic components of the con. We want to know how you rate the parking, the vendors and the food. The poll closes after 30 days and we will use this as a baseline for next years convention. We hope to eventually have a rating system set up for many of the conventions.

We realize that these don’t apply to all conventions, so if they don’t apply to your con, give them a 5 star.

My-Con has fan panels, karaoke, a gaming room and an exhibitor room. They have 8,000 sq ft of market space allowing for a wide variety of dealers in all things anime, fantasy, and comic. It was a great place to find the best treasures.

Cosplay photos are provided by a neutral third party with no opinions given on the event. Cosplay photos are provided to highlight the skills and enthusiasm of the photographer and cosplayers. All opinions and facts in the article are by the author.

Cosplay Photos

A big draw to My-Con is the cosplay. This is a great event to pull out an old favorite or show off a new cosplay. Anyone can cosplay as anything or anyone and thanks to Nocedo Photo Media we get to see some of the cosplay costuming that was on site.
