Seven Seas Licenses Danmei Novel Series
YOU’VE GOT MAIL: THE PERILS OF PIGEON POST –
Fei Ge Jiao You Xu Jin Shen by Blackegg
Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the license acquisition of the danmei/Boy’s Love novel series You’ve Got Mail: The Perils of Pigeon Post – Fei Ge Jiao You Xu Jin Shen by Blackegg. This Mature-rated novel series originally released in Chinese–and coming to the English language for the first time–is a raunchy romantic comedy about an ancient singles club!
In the Xia dynasty of ancient China, a secret club was established for gay men to meet and hopefully find a lifelong lover: the Peng Society for Gentlemen. A man could provide a self-portrait, some personal information, and a mailing address (along with a subscription fee) to be listed in The Pengornisseur, a discreet monthly publication mailed to subscribers via pigeon post.
Wu Xingzi is a gay government official without money, status, or hope. Thoroughly miserable, he decides to end his life on his 40th birthday, but he has one last goal: to lose his virginity. He puts his life savings toward a subscription to the Peng Society for Gentlemen in the hope that it will direct him into the arms of another man before he dies. But paying for admittance to this special club gives Wu Xingzi more than he bargained for! The Seven Seas English-language edition of this Mature-rated novel will feature uncensored text and exclusive new art.
You’ve Got Mail: The Perils of Pigeon Post – Fei Ge Jiao You Xu Jin Shen (Novel) Vol. 1 will be released for the first time in the English language in August 2024 for $19.99 USA / $25.99 CAN, with the series available in large-trim paperback editions as part of the Seven Seas Danmei label. Ebook editions will also be available on digital platforms.
