The Dark Avengers are a team of Marvel Comics characters led by Norman Osborn, the original Green Goblin and former leader of the Thunderbolts. The team first appeared in Dark Avengers #1 (March 2009). The roster changed several times during the run of the series with some members being killed off or replaced by other characters.

The group consisted primarily of former villains who were given new opportunities: Ares, Venom, Daken & Bullseye all joined together with Hank Pym as their new “Iron Patriot”. This first story arc also introduced Moonstone & Sentry who would become part of this team later on in issues 7-10 when they were brought in while Ms Marvel was added to help replace Ares after he left after being beaten up badly during issue 5’s final battle against him and Ms Marvel.
Norman Osborn
Norman Osborn is a former businessman who became the Green Goblin and later became the leader of the Dark Avengers. He’s also the father of Harry Osborn, and the husband of Gwen Stacy. He also became the Iron Patriot
The Wrecking Crew
The most powerful members of the team, formerly a biker gang called the Wrecking Crew.
The Wrecking Crew is a biker gang led by Dane Whitman, who was recruited by Norman Osborn to be a part of his Dark Avengers. The group consisted of Absorbing Man (who had taken the alias “Mr. Hyde”), Titania (who called herself “Ms. Marvel” and used the same costume as Carol Danvers), Thunderball, and Bulldozer.
Wolverine
A clone of the original Wolverine, X-23 was raised by Hydra and trained to assassinate Wolverine. She would later join a team of Avengers called the Dark Avengers on behalf of Norman Osborn, who had taken over SHIELD after an incident at a Hydra base left him amnesiac.
When she was younger, Laura Kinney lived in the Weapon X facility run by Dr. Martin Sutter under orders from Director Malcolm Colcord (who was secretly working for John Wraith). She spent her days in solitary confinement until she was put on display as a new experiment involving Adamantium bonding. After escaping from Weapon X and killing Colcord’s assistant Doctor Zander Rice, Laura took up residence in Chicago where she tried to live as normal a life as possible while also becoming involved in dealing with threats such as corrupt cops.
Spider-Man
An alternate reality version of Venom that was part of Osborn’s Cabal and later joined his Dark Avengers team. He was killed by the original Venom in an explosion caused by a supercharged Nitro. His corpse was then used by the Spider Queen to return her to Earth-616 where she merged with Spider-Woman and became an enhanced version of herself called Hybrid.
Other Members
Norman Osborn also recruited Doctor Octopus, Moonstone and Bullseye who was resurrected in an alternate reality after being killed by Hawkeye months earlier.
