PopCultHQ Review:
Just when private detective was about to quit the case, for being lied to and leading to him being attacked. Hank can’t help but know this case is different, very different. So it’s no surprise he lets the mysterious wife of missing studio owner, William Forrester seduces him into staying on the case.
That is when Hank Barrymore gets a hot tip from his newspaper reporter buddy Buck. The two then head to a museum to learn more about a mysterious man named Price and his connections with the movie studio and a mysterious cult. A cult that has been told to once have fought and enslaved monsters of legends old.
Just when the two man think this is all too much to believe, they are attacked by a trio of creatures that leave the men spooked. Is it just too much to believe? Not for Hank, for he’s been though it before it seems.
What could all these things have to do with a movie studio that makes monster movies, we will have to find out how it all unfolds. This issue was a bit slow on action but very insightful into what pieces are involved in the grand scheme of this mystery crime tale, that is entangled in the world of classic monster creatures.
