“Pants Optional” is PopCultHQ’s Zoom video interview feature where we connect with individuals within the comic book community. It’s a way to see/hear what creators have been doing during the pandemic, projects which may be in motion, and noteworthy events and happenings taking place in lieu of conventions, appearances, and the weekly NCBD grind.

For Episode XXXIII, I spoke with creator Jason Martin. The multi-talented creator known from such titles as VAMPBLADE & AMALGAMA: Space Zombie at Action Lab’s Danger Zone imprint, is continuing the expansion of his Pulp Girls universe with his latest crowdfunding project. Joining SWISS ARMY WOMAN, PRINCE-S STARthief issue two is back on Kickstarter after a successful first issue campaign and is seeing enormous success in this sophmore outing.

Here’s a look at the original issue of PRINCE-S STARthief,
which was successfully funded on Kickstarter & featured Celor on art.

It’s the future and society has become enslaved by massive corporations. These corporations have in turn become warring Monarchies that have spread into the galaxy oppressing everything in their path to fuel their power. Our protagonist, the daughter to the powerful PEP-C corporation, instead of following through with her arranged marriage, rebels and wields the large resources of the monarchy to f@$# around, stir up trouble, and have a good time.

From her own personal Starcraft carrier – stocked with a fleet of ships, mechs, and weaponry at her disposal – she slips through corporate fingers to steal and stockpile the galaxies’ most lethal tech. She is PRINCE-S STARthief!
