6′ Statue Made of LEGOs Depicting Nick Wilde from Zootopia was Gone in 60 Minutes

After several days and thousands of dollars in LEGOs, a Chinese man created an incredibly accurate 3D statue of Nick Wilde, a character from Disney’s Zootopia. Proud of the accomplishment he attained, Zhao displayed his creation for everyone to enjoy at the local shopping mall in Ningbo, China. But if you didn’t catch a glimpse of it within the first hour of its reveal, you lost your chance.

The $15,000 statue was displayed at the mall for only one hour before a child knocked the piece over. Everyone had been taking pictures of this marvelous creation and many posed with it. A number of children had been posing with the six-foot-tall fox when a four-year-old boy got too close to the statue and accidentally knocked it over. The result: thousands of shattered pieces and numerous hours of labor down the drain.

The LEGO builder said he was “heartbroken,” but he refused any compensation and humbly accepted an apology from the child’s parents.
