
Three new films are here this weekend, all designed for more mature audiences. There is the sort-of sequel to the film Candyman that came out nearly 30 years ago, a film about an astronaut stranded on a near-desolate Earth that must decide the fate of those still living there, and finally a drama about a married couple facing the reality of life together during Covid.

A “spiritual sequel” to the horror film Candyman (1992) that returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began.
