[Movie News] In Theaters This Week – February 5, 2021

Many theaters are still not open in the US. Some have had to close again due to health restrictions being put back in place or simply due to a lack of people coming in. While many big-name movies are pushing their release dates back even further, or choosing to premiere overseas first, a number of movies are still determined to make their way to theaters.

Some areas have seen restrictions loosen, which means some theaters are tentatively reopening. This week’s releases bring the directorial debut of Viggo Mortensen, a film about war photographer W. Eugene Smith, two romantic films, and more!

Falling (R)

John Peterson lives with his partner Eric and their adopted daughter in Southern California. When he is visited by his aging father Willis from Los Angeles who is searching for a place to retire, their two very different worlds collide.

War photographer W. Eugene Smith travels back to Japan where he documents the devastating effect of mercury poisoning in coastal communities.

The Reckoning
