1910 – The neon lamp was displayed for the first time at the Paris Motor Show. The lamp was developed by French physicist Georges Claude.
1927 – “Putting Pants on Philip”, the first Laurel and Hardy film, is released.
1931 – Alka Seltzer goes on sale
1967– Dr. Christiaan Barnard performed the first successful heart transplant at Cape Town, South Africa.
2017 – astronauts on the International Space Station held the first pizza party in space.
