1871 – The Great Chicago Fire started on Sunday, October 8, and burned for three days before it finally burned itself out Tuesday, October 10
1938 – The cover of “The Saturday Evening Post” portrayed Norman Rockwell.
1944 “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” debut on CBS radio
1982 – “Cats” opens on Broadway and runs for nearly 18 years before closing on September 10, 2000.
