1956 – IBM introduces the RAMAC 305, 1st commercial computer with a hard drive that uses magnetic disk storage
1969 – “Scooby-Doo Where are You” by Hanna-Barbera debuts on CBS in the US
1974 – first broadcast of “The Rockford Files” on NBC-TV
1977 – first TV viewer discretion warning, it was on the show “Soap”
1977 – The first diesel automobiles were introduced by General Motors.
1985 – “Super Mario Bros” game first appears, created by Shigeru Miyamoto at Nintendo
1990 – “Law and Order” created by Dick Wolf first premieres on NBC
1993 – “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” premiered on NBC.
2005 – “Supernatural” debuts on The WB starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki – longest-running North American fantasy series
