WHAT WE WATCHED: August 24-30

While we’re all staying at home, a lot of us are watching things online. With the plethora of videos available, and more being created every day, it’s an enjoyable way to pass the time and bring a little fun into our lives. Some of these may be brand new, some may be older, but here are a few of the videos I enjoyed this week.

Isn’t it just the best when pets get along? Here, a cat is determined to make a puppy love it. A little reticent at first, eventually the puppy returns the cat’s attention.

If you’re looking for a little random silliness, look no further. Here is a compilation of various TikTok users reenacting a scene from The Princess Diaries starring Sandra Oh. But instead of using actual phones… they use their cats. I have to admit, I was laughing out loud by the end.

Veterinarian technicians go through a lot of schooling to be able to do their jobs and care for a variety of animals. Some are more docile, while others are bound to be less compliant. Here’s a handy how-to video on how to handle that second group of animals. I have to say, I think that cat might have been having a little bit too much fun!

It’s pretty amazing what can be accomplished with makeup, bodypainting, and a little illusion. In this video, artist Johannes Stötter turns a model into a sea turtle – until the very end you wouldn’t even be able to tell that it’s a person!

In honor of Bill & Ted Face the Music being released this week, here is some video of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter going through their auditions for the original Bill & Ted.

And finally, for some more retro-movie goodness, here is Ghostbusters starring a pair of cats!
