1770 – Marie Antoinette, at age 14, married the future King Louis XVI of France, who was 15.
1866 – Charles E. Hires invents Hires Root Beer
1929 – The First ever Academy Awards of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards were handed out at a banquet held at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
1965 – The Campbell Soup Company introduces SpaghettiOs under its Franco-American brand
1888 – The first demonstration of recording on a flat disc was demonstrated by Emile Berliner.
1984 – “When Doves Cry” single released by Prince
1986 – “Top Gun”, directed by Tony Scott and starring Tom Cruise premieres
2002 – “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” directed by George Lucas, starring Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman opens in cinemas
2005 – Sony Corp. unveiled three styles of its new PlayStation 3 video game machine. Sony’s PlayStation 3 makes it’s debut at the E3 trade show
2010 – Japan conducts the first wedding in which the couple was married by a robot. The couple had a connection to the robotics industry and wished for the robot, the I-Fairy, to officiate their wedding in Tokyo.
