1812 – The first steam boat to travel down the Mississippi, The New Orleans arrives in New Orleans.

1896 – The first official medical X-ray Performed by Dr. H.L. Smith at Davidson College (though in a prank his student beat him to it)

1904 – Henry Ford set a new land speed record of reached 91.37 miles per hour.

1966 – “Batman” show debuts on ABC

1967 – Mr. James Bedford was the first person cryogenically

1971 – “All in the Family” show debuts on CBS.

1981 – “Dynasty” show debuts on ABC.

1992 – Hal from “2001: a space odyssey” became operational
