1927 – “Metropolis” by Fritz Lang premiered. This was the first feature-length science fiction movie.

1956 – Abigail Van Buren’s “Dear Abby” column first appeared in newspaper syndication.

1958 – Toyota and Datsun first appear in the U.S at the Imported Motor Car Show in Los Angeles, California.

1960 – Birthdate of Harry Potter’s Severus Snape.

1967 – PBS (the National Educational TV) began.

1996– “3rd Rock From The Sun” debuted on NBC.

1997 – “Antiques Roadshow” debuted on PBS.

2000 – “Malcolm in the Middle” premiered on FX.

2001 – Apple announced iTunes.

2011 – “Bob’s Burgers” premiered on FOX.
