[Trailer] ‘The Witcher’ Gets An Epic Trailer, Release Date

If anything has been learned from the massive success of Game of Thrones, it’s that epic fantasy adaptations are the next big thing in television. Netflix has put their bets on adapting The Witcher book series, created by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski.

The series of 7 books (as well as many short stories) revolve around the emponymous “witcher,” Geralt of Rivia, a mutant who roams hunting monsters for a price. It has also been developed into a series of video games. The Netflix series will see Henry Cavill starring as Geralt. A trailer for the series has just been released, giving us a release date of December 20th as well as letting us know what to expect from the show.

From what we are shown in this trailer, the show certainly looks impressive. There certainly will be plenty of world-building, magic, and epic sword fights. If you weren’t already a fan of the series, you might just become one of you give it a chance.

The Witcher will debut on Netflix on December 20th.
