Cosplay Photos: Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019 – Saturday (Part 1)

Star Wars Celebration 2019 on Saturday kicked off with a cosplay mashup photoshoot in the South Building of McCormick Place. It was also the day of the adult and children’s costume competitions, so many brought out their biggest and most impressive costumes.

Saturday was also the day of the panel for Disney’s new Galaxy’s Edge area of its parks in California and Florida. Fans got an up close and behind-the-scenes look at the attractions ahead of the Disneyland opening in May 31st. There was also a Galaxy’s Edge exhibit on the show floor open all weekend, where fans could learn more about the attraction, take photos, view merchandise that will be for sale, and make “fanfessional” about why they love Star Wars so much.

Here are a few cosplay photos I caught around the convention during the day. Be sure to stay tuned for plenty more!
