[Movie News] In Theaters This Week – March 22, 2019

Are you looking to watch a movie that might not be your standard fare this weekend? Well, you might be in luck! There are several movies out this weekend that aren’t your typical Hollywood films. A movie based on the Hotel Mumbai attack in 2008, a young man’s journey through Singapore to discover his roots, a film set in 1913 Budapest, a Bollywood film about a young man setting out to learn martial arts, Jordan Peele‘s new horror film, and much more are new in theaters this week. Hopefully one of them catches your eye!

Dragged Across Concrete (R)

The script centers on two policemen, one an old-timer (Gibson), the other his volatile younger partner (Vaughn), who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics become the media’s cause du jour. Low on cash and with no other options, these two embittered soldiers descend into the criminal underworld to gain their just due, but instead find far more than they wanted awaiting them in the shadows.

Refusing to leave the city, the young woman follows Kálmán’s tracks, her only link to a lost past. Her quest brings her through the dark streets of Budapest, where only the Leiter hat store shines, into the turmoil of a civilization on the eve of its downfall.

The family is shocked to find out that the intruders look like and talk like them, only with grotesque appearances.
