[Preview] Action Lab’s 10/24 Release: NORTHSTARS Vol. 1 HC: “Welcome to Snowville”

On Wednesday, October 24th, Action Lab Entertainment has the hardcover edition of NORTHSTARS!

Volume one, “Welcome to Snowville,” whisks you away to Polaris, a magical land starring the daughter of Santa Claus and a befriended Yeti Princess. As series co-creator Jim Shelley describes the series in detail: “NorthStars is an all-ages comic inspired by our love of Rankin Bass holiday specials, Walt Disney’s Uncle Scrooge comics and Asterix and Obelix. In the first issue, Welcome to Snowville, we introduce readers to an arctic arcanum of Fall Fairies, Winter Wyverns, Straw Lads and the villainous Krampus. It was important to us to create a world that combined the “anything goes” fun of classic all-ages comics with the ominous, preternatural stories of European folklore. It helps that artist Anna Liisa is originally from Finland and raised in England. She was able to use her cultural experiences to enhance the tone and visuals of the comic in ways the really invoke that Old World feeling. The result is a Holiday Grab Bag of wondrous realms, funny banter and heroic adventure!
