Soundgarden Lead Singer Chris Cornell Dead at Age 52

Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave, unexpectedly died last night at the age of 52. Cause of death is unknown, but the coroner will be investigating.

Chris had been performing earlier that day with Soundgarden at the Fox Theater in Detroit.



Mr. Cornell was born in Seattle and, in 1984, formed Soundgarden along with Kim Thayil and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. He later moved on to become a part of Audioslave and then became a solo artist in 2006.

Soundgarden returned to stage in 2010 had recently started touring again.

Chris Cornell was a fantastic front man with a great voice that will be missed by all.
