#MaytheFourthBeWithYou: See the Softer Side of the Empire w/ Stormtrooper Father & Son

The Galactic Empire of Star Wars has a reputation for being bad guys. As the antagonists of the Star Wars universe, we see them kill innocent people, wipe out entire planets, and do all manner of malevolent things. But what we don’t see is the more personal side of the Empire, particularly the nameless, faceless Stormtroopers that do the bidding of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine.

Photographer Kristina Alexanderson has decided to do just that with her Stormtrooper Father and Son album on Flickr. She has around 300 photos of a Stormtooper action figure and LEGO figurine as father and son, putting them in all manner of cute father-son moments like learning to ride a bike, picking up pumpkins for Halloween, learning to write, and so much more. Darth Vader even participates in the fun occasionally, frolicking in the snow and teaching the young one to shoot a blaster so that he can one day follow in his father’s footsteps.

The photos were taken over several years, stretching from 2010 to 2015. You can see more of her photos in the gallery below, as well as her website and Instagram.
