The music concert series presented by Wizard World Comic Con will bring top, breakout musical talent to several cities across the U.S. during its inaugural run this summer and fall. The series will also include alternative pop singer HANA, who is opening for Grimes on June 3 in Philadelphia. Other artists include the stunning and provocative singer, songwriter Melanie Martinez performing this summer. Further show dates, performers and cities to be announced soon. Grimes, the multimedia project of Canadian artist Claire Boucher, will kick off the live concert series at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on June 3. Her new album ‘Art Angels’ had prime placement on basically every 2015 End of Year list, with No. 1 spots from NME, Stereogum, Gorilla Vs. Bear and others. About Kii Arens
Kii Arens is an American contemporary pop artist, graphic designer, photographer, director and musician, with a focus on Rock-N-Roll. Never formally trained, this St. Paul, MN native grew up with a fascination for album covers, band logos, and font styles. He credits Saturday mornings in the 70’s spent watching Sid & Marty Krofft as his main inspirations for color. Kii is the owner of Los Angeles-based La-La Land Gallery, with over 300 pieces created for artists such as Radiohead, Beck, Queens of the Stone Age, Dolly Parton, Devo, Diana Ross, Lana Del Rey, The Pixies, Glen Campbell, Tame Impala, The Beach Boys, The Replacements and many others. He also has created prints for various All Tomorrow’s Parties events, Bonnaroo, and Coachella. Arens’ direction of work includes the music video, “What We Do,” for DEVO, which began to broaden his creative endeavors. Most recently, Arens co-directed the video for “Vampyre” of Time and Memory, a track from Queens of the Stone Age’s latest album. He also directed the last videos for the legendary Glen Campbell.
