Deadpool, The Merc with a Mouth, has only been around for a very short time. The Marvel Comics character first appeared in The New Mutants #98 cover-dated (Feb. 1991) created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld. At first Deadpool was depicted as a supervillain when he made his appearance in The New Mutants and later in issues of X-Force. Over time the character has evolved into the new role of an antihero, making ‘Pool one of the hottest, most sought after comic book properties in his short but memorable history. Deadpool comics are almost impossible to find in the aftermarkets, always seemingly catching top dollar prices immediately upon release.

Now with the hype and popularity of the upcoming Deadpool movie, finding and owning some of the most sought after Deadpool comics is the rage with younger collectors today. We have gathered together some of the best Deadpool covers that are out there, with spectacular artwork from many of the industry’s best.

What makes a great Deadpool cover? Cool factor has to be criteria number one! Next criteria has to be humor, there is nothing better than a great parody cover or Deadpool-esque Silliness! There is no Deadpool without some good ol’ fashioned raunchy humor from Wade Wilsons’ quick-witted smart-ass. That’s about it folks, so, which one is your favorite Deadpool issue cover? Is there one we did not post that you feel needs to be added? Let us know.
