Iron Maiden Tackles RPG’s With Free-To-Play Game: Legacy of the Beast!

Metal Masters, Iron Maiden are entering the world of video games! The metal giants are releasing a new mobile game titled Legacy of the Beast for mobile platforms later this year. The game will feature band mascot, Eddie, as he’s been depicted over the course of the band’s lengthy history.

The game is being developed by Roadhouse Interactive (Warhammer 40,000: Carnage) with help from the band’s management firm, allowing the developer access to the extensive catalog of music, art, lyrics, etc. The game is slated for summer release on iOS and Android platforms.  Roadhouse CEO James Hursthouse mentioned his thoughts of incorporating the metal band with the RPG, “As a lifelong fan, I have always thought that Maiden’s music, lyrics, and cast of characters would provide the perfect basis for a deep RPG experience.  With this game we’re creating an outstanding RPG that will appeal to all mobile gamers, including those discovering Maiden for the first time.”

Founding member and bassist Steve Harris added, “We know many of our fans are gamers and we have long thought that Eddie and Maiden’s music and imagery would be perfect for this.  It’s something we have been looking at revisiting since Ed Hunter way back in 1999. Now in 2016 it can all be done on a smartphone so it makes it even more accessible for Maiden fans everywhere and also all the gamers out there.”
