There are few vehicles in pop culture history so desirable and famous that they could make a grown man act like a little boy. Things that come to my mind are a Batmobile, a DeLorean time-machine, a ‘General Lee’ or even a ‘Kitt’ from Knight Rider! But how cool would it be to actually own a ‘Tron’ light-cycle!
The Andrews Family who is known for their exclusive car collection is selling quite a bit of their vehicle stock. Including this custom Tron-cycle replica that looks like it came straight out of the 2001 Tron Legacy remake movie. The bike sports a 96 Volt direct-drive electric motor with lithium batteries and a computer controlled throttle. The bike, which has a seat height of 28.5 inches has only been displayed in the Andrews Museum.
The light-cycle is going up for auction at Sotheby’s on May 2nd, if you have about $20,000-$50,000 burning a hole in your pocket it looks like you might be in luck!!
