#SDCC2017: DOLLFACE Doll Debuts at Comic-Con – Robert Tonner Creates Lila the Witch Hunter Collectible

The DollFace collectible doll debuts at San Diego Comic Con

Robert Tonner, renowned doll artist and owner of Phyn & Aero, LLC, has created a unique ball-jointed 18” resin collectible doll based on the comic series DollFace: Tales of a Ball-Jointed Witch Hunter, co-created and written by Dan Mendoza & Bryan Seaton.

The DollFace doll will debut this week at Action Lab’s Booth #2006 during San Diego Comic Con. Later it will be available for sale on PhynAndAero.com as well as through Diamond Distributors, along with the top-selling comic book series of the same name from Action Lab Entertainment.

“We are very excited to be working with Action Lab on their hot new series DollFace,” said Robert Tonner. “Collectible dolls go hand in hand with comic book series. DollFace has a unique look and is sure to be a fan favorite,” he stated.

“I am honored to have our DollFace doll produced by Robert Tonner, one of the foremost artists in collectible dolls,” said Bryan Seaton, CEO of Action Lab Entertainment. “She is magnificent looking and will cause quite a lot of interest at San Diego Comic Con.”

The deal was brokered by Carlin West Agency.

Tonner’s DollFace resin doll first debuted during Preview Night the Action Lab Booth #2006 at San Diego Comic Con on July 19, 2017.

Lila – DollFace

DollFace (aka Lila) is an all resin ball-jointed doll capturing in exquisite detail all the quirks and uniqueness that make up the ball-jointed Witch Hunter in the comic.  Standing 18” high and made of the finest quality resin, Doll Face has 16 points of articulation.  As with many BJDs, DollFace has eyes (16mm) that are easily changed for a multitude of unique looks.  Doll Face (or Lila) has hand painted features that, during her crazy adventures, can be somewhat hidden by her two tone, pink and lilac size 7/8 wig.  The wig is made of fine acrylic fiber that can be combed and styled.

And, of course, DollFace wouldn’t be DollFace without her iconic black and white satin baby-doll dress, her pretty pink panties, white knee-high stockings and Mary-Jane shoes.  All in all, she’s perfectly dressed to kick some Witch butt!
